Master Electrician ("the App") is a mobile application developed by Jason Cugley ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our App.
We are committed to protecting your privacy. We collect only what is necessary to provide the App's functionality, and we do not sell your personal information to third parties.
Account Information: When you create an account to subscribe or purchase scan credits, you may provide your email address and create a password. This information is used to manage your account and subscription.
Feedback and Bug Reports: When you submit a bug report or feedback through the App, you may provide your email address and a description of the issue. This information is submitted through Formspree and is used solely to respond to your feedback and improve the App.
Authentication Data: When you first open the App, we create an anonymous account using Firebase Authentication to enable core functionality such as tracking your daily scan usage. This anonymous account does not contain personally identifiable information unless you later create a full account.
Usage Data: We track the number of AI scans you use in order to manage your daily scan allowance and any purchased scan credits. This data is stored securely in Google Cloud Firestore and is associated with your account.
Subscription and Purchase Data: When you subscribe or purchase scan credits, your transaction is processed through Apple's App Store or Google Play Store. We use RevenueCat to manage and verify your subscription status. We do not directly collect or store your payment information.
AI Features — Code Assistant: When you use the AI Code Assistant feature, the text of your questions is sent to Google's Gemini API to generate responses. We do not permanently store your questions or the responses.
AI Features — Photo Scanner: When you use the photo scanning feature, the photos you capture or select are sent to Google's Gemini API for analysis. Images are transmitted as temporary data for processing and are not permanently stored on our servers.
No Advertising or Behavioral Tracking: The App does not use any advertising SDKs, behavioral tracking technologies, or targeted advertising. We do not collect device identifiers for advertising purposes, location data, or browsing behavior.
Account Data: Retained as long as your account is active. Anonymous accounts unused for 12 months may be deleted.
AI Queries and Images: Processed in real time by the Gemini API and not permanently stored by us.
Purchase History: Maintained by Apple, Google, and RevenueCat per their respective data retention policies.
Feedback Submissions: Retained in our Formspree account for improving the App. You may request deletion by contacting us.
All data transmitted between the App and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS. User data stored in Cloud Firestore is protected by security rules that prevent unauthorized access — users can only read their own data, and all data modifications are performed through secure server-side functions. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure.
The App is designed for professional electricians and is not intended for use by children under the age of 14. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 14.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the information below. You may also delete your account at any time directly from the App's Settings screen.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
